Get to Know Your Team: Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma and tertiary care center and home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue. ResponsibilitiesThe CNA/Behavioral Health Technician performs selected patient care activities and is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, providing support for the patient's therapeutic treatment plan. Observes and records patient information pertinent to the treatment plan, and reports this information to the staff RN and other members of the treatment team. Maintaining safety checks and assessments of the individual patients and Behavioral Health environment. Assists patients with physical and emotion needs, deals with patient emergencies, and works as a member of a clinical team. Hands on patient care may include; physical care related to activities of daily living, emotional support, limit setting, verbal and physical redirection, nutritional support, along with support of the general patient milieu. QualificationsJob Requirements:High School or GEDCurrent CNA Certification in the State of IdahoCurrent BLS certification Preferred Job Requirements:Knowledge of medical terminologyTwo years of education in the behavioral health sciences or experience in the behavioral health field
