Mainframe Developer

Day 1 onsite

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain COBOL, JCL, and DB2-based applications on IBM Mainframes.
• Provide L2/L3 production support , including root cause analysis and resolution of issues impacting batch jobs, reports, and real-time transactions.
• Perform impact analysis, code reviews, and debugging of existing applications.
• Create and execute unit test plans and support system/integration testing.
• Work on batch and online systems including performance tuning and optimization.
• Participate in requirement gathering, estimation, and documentation processes.
• Coordinate with business analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Support production deployments and resolve issues post-deployment.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in COBOL , JCL , VSAM , CICS , and DB2 .
• Familiarity with Mainframe Tools like Endevor , SPUFI , File-AID , Expeditor , etc.
• Understanding of batch processing , online transactions , and data partitioning .
• Knowledge of Mainframe modernization tools or concepts is a plus.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
