ASSYST is seeking an experienced
ServiceNow Developer to
support our local government customer based in
Arlington, VA . The ServiceNow Developer to work with our lead developer and system administrator. This role involves configuring ServiceNow applications, creating and automating workflows, and integrating third-party systems to enhance our operational capabilities. This project-based assignment would include redesigning a customer-centric Service Catalog and integrating AI Search capabilities.
Work Mode - Hybrid Location - Arlington, VA Key Responsibilities: - Develop and configure ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML, and CSS.
- Customize and configure out-of-the-box workflows and create/maintain custom workflows.
- Integrate ServiceNow applications with third-party systems/applications via APIs.
- Perform application maintenance, manage support for incidents related to ServiceNow applications, and contribute to ServiceNow software releases by delivering configuration tasks and features.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to capture business and user requirements and develop elegant solutions that meet those needs.
- Provide input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals.
- Prepare reports on analyses and system performance issues and determine performance enhancements.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field is desired. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Service Now System Administration and/or Application Developer certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow data model and relationships.
- Significant experience in ServiceNow test, development, and production environments.
- Significant experience capturing user stories, working through a ServiceNow backlog, and delivering to meet user requirements.
- Experience with Configuration Management (CMDB), LDAP integration, and custom scripting.
- Minimum of three years’ experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, including the creation and/or customization of core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Service Catalog, and Hardware Asset Management.
- Significant experience developing workflows in Workflow Editor and Flow Designer.
- Proficient with custom web services, custom notifications, assessments, and custom applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills: - Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, AWS Redshift).
- ITIL, ITSM, or other relevant certifications.
