Overview GovCIO is currently hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to provide operational and integration support for a multi-vendor infrastructure, including various networks, systems, and cybersecurity vendors. This position will be located in Tampa, FL, with an on-site requirement and a hybrid remote opportunity based on project needs. Responsibilities Correlate threat data from various sources to identify hackers active in client networks and assess potential threats. Provide assessments and reports to facilitate situational awareness of current cyber threats and adversaries. Develop cyber threat profiles based on geographic regions, countries, groups, or individual actors. Produce cyber threat assessments based on entity threat analysis. Support high-technology investigations with computer forensic and intrusion support, including evidence seizure, forensic analysis, data recovery, and network assessments. Research and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in cybersecurity, vulnerabilities, data hiding, and encryption. Additional Responsibilities Work in a fast-paced environment alongside specialized engineers for modernization and new installations for partner nations in Eastern Europe and South America. Support US Government, NATO, and foreign military customers. Extensive experience in Defensive Network/Cybersecurity Operations. Operate across technical boundaries and serve as a Subject Matter Expert on cybersecurity tools, appliances, and architecture. Design, test, and implement cybersecurity devices, optimizing deployment for maximum network security. Support multi-vendor infrastructure, validating traffic flow and proper deployment of security measures. Manage core cybersecurity technologies such as Gigamon appliances, Trellix/FireEye/McAfee, and others. Document proficiency with physical equipment, cabling, and installation in data centers and NOCs/SOCs/CSOCs. Implement and tune SIEM systems, integrating various data sources. Expertise in Email and Web security, Endpoint security, DLP, and Vulnerability Management. Assist with system design objectives, technical specifications, and interoperability to meet stakeholder requirements. Lead and brief stakeholders and manage engineering teams for large-scale projects. Document network, system, and cybersecurity changes; develop plans and checklists. Proficiency with network drawing tools (Visio, Lucid, AutoCAD). Willing to travel internationally up to 40% to customer locations in Eastern Europe and South America. Qualifications High School diploma with 9+ years of experience. Active SECRET clearance required. Valid US Passport and readiness for international travel. Fluent in Spanish (conversational and written). Proficiency with network drawing tools (Visio, Lucid, AutoCAD). Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, CASP). Experience with Cyber Network Defense, Cybersecurity Operations, or current CCNP Level Certification (CCNP Security, CyberOps, CBR). Additional cybersecurity certifications or experience (e.g., MCSA, VMware, Linux) are a plus. Preferred Skills and Experience Relevant Master's Degree in a related field preferred. BS Degree +8 years or HS Diploma +12 years of relevant experience; expertise may substitute for formal education. Military background in Signal, Communications, Cyber, or IT MOS highly desired.
